You speak of recorded media having an absolute polarity. They do not. They have only a polarity -- one or the other."Absolute Polarity" refers only to a phenomenon at the ear.
The confusion one sees in George Louis's assertions arises from that misunderstanding (and more) and so I hasten to correct you. Thus when you write, "Some of the audiophile labels take great care in maintaining the absolute polarity of their products", what you should be saying is, "maintaining a polarity consistency in their products".
