Obviously if it turned out that a comparison found the sound of copies made with Louis' gadget was superior to copies from the cheaper one an attack would hardly be called for. But since you did review/recommend RC, then later became aware of the rumors (to date unsubstantiated), it seems sensible to me that you'd have some interest in a comparison. Jeez, Bob, have you no concern whatsoever that you may have given a recommendation to a product which is simply re-branded and priced 2 1/2 times higher (or more) than the exact same gadget available elsewhere? You would be comfortable with your review if it turned out that in fact the only thing unique about RC was the fluids? Considering that the cheaper duplicator costs $200 or so, if the RC price includes Louis' fluids that would essentially mean the cost of those fluids is $300-500 ( depending on whether RC is $595 as quoted by some inmates or $795 as quoted by you).Who pays? GMAB. I've been reading/enjoying your reviewers since I was a Listener subscriber. I subscribed to PF when it was paper, and I still appreciate it as an e-zine. But if a mag or e-zine is unwilling to spend a lousy $200 to ascertain whether or not they've recommended a fraud they should fold the tents.
