Or just answer "yes" or "no" to the following question:

Was there any test of the listeners where they had to prove they could hear differences among the amplifiers?

Please answer yes, or no.

Note: If there was a real audibility test, there should be test results data such as:

Listener A compared amps A and B 16 times.
He correctly identified the amp in use 14 times

Listener A compared amps C and D 16 times.
He correctly identified the amp in use 8 times

You continue to imply that all listeners could hear differences among all amplifiers while listening to music through speakers in a normally reverberent listening room.

If that really happened, then it would be the only time in three decades of blind audition experiments where listeners actually proved the golden ear mantra:
"All components sound different and all real audiophiles can hear those differences".

Believing that mantra does not make it true.

So far the evidence over three decades is overwhelming that audiophiles can not differentiate among components as well as they believe they can. Not even close.

That's why "I can hear a difference" needs to be challenged with some types of components, such as solid state amplifiers.

I believe my e-mail address is available to any Asylum visitor, or at least to all registered users.

Just click on my name and you can view my stereo system details too.

Of course my Bogen tube PA amplifier is much better than your Flame Linear boat anchor, as proven in a triple-blind test (the listeners were all blind).

Just kidding.

Don't take this hobby too seriously.
