If you compare two components and prove you can hear a difference, then you can continue listening to determine which component you prefer based solely on sound quality.You Wrote:

"Imagined differences" gets the golden ears all worked up instantly ... those words have an effect just like walking past the monkey cage at the zoo and banging a steel cup against all the bars as you walk by ... not that I ever did that as a kid.But I do it now!
