DBTs are as close to non-biased purely subjective listening as one can get

If you compare two components and prove you can hear a difference, then you can continue listening to determine which component you prefer based solely on sound quality.

My Reply:
Too scientific -- audiophiles would have no idea what that means!
"Imagined differences" gets the golden ears all worked up instantly ... those words have an effect just like walking past the monkey cage at the zoo and banging a steel cup against all the bars as you walk by ... not that I ever did that as a kid.

But I do it now!
