Was any attempt made to prove any listener really had the ability to differentiate among amplifiers?

If not, there was no test at all.

I asked for test results data in my first post of this thread because it seemed odd that the original post contained so many words, but no test results.

No test results have yet been presented.

Not even a brief summary.

Therefore I infer there was no test at all.

Did the Phase Linear 400 sound different than all other amplifiers to all the listeners?

Maybe it did.

And maybe it did not.

A blind comparison where the listeners prove they can hear amplifier differences would answer that question.

Some people would call that a double-blind test.

It would be a real double-blind test -- not a subjective audition with subjective comments that was falsely presented as a "DBT" by the original poster ... who was so eager to prove that all "real" audiophiles can hear differences among all amplifiers they audition.

Three decades of experiments since the 1970's strongly suggests that's not true -- audiophiles typically grossly overestimate their ability to hear differences among electronic components and especially among wires.
