Look, you are the one who made the overgeneralization. All we ever said was that Jon should try YBA ad Audio Refinement. How do you know he won't prefer the YBA/AR sound? Answer: you don't know. He won't know unless he tries them.And, by the way, the YBA is as good an amp as ALL those mentioned. It's a matter of system matching. Plinius does NOT match all systems. Nor does YBA.
Jon, give the AR a try... you may be surprised at the increased detail you get without the edginess.
