perhaps..

While there are some who certainly prey on the uninformed, I also see more..let's ignore the chip and clock and rock and picture level stuff for this discussion..

I see people who hear a difference, and because the hard facts do not support their perceptions, they are forced to either make up their own theories, or bastardize existing theories to support their observations.

I see smooth talking people taking advantage of this situation, and positioning themselves as guru's, forming what could arguably be called a cult, and using denigration tactics to support their folly.

I see the science of human localization capability as uselessly rudimentary, this being of prime concern to audiophiles who wish a soundstage presentation that is to their liking. In discussion with audibility researchers, I have found no relief from this void of understanding, so have been forced to develop it on my own (so far).

While my research may or may not validate all the stuff that seems to be too small to have any effect, it will be repeatable and consistent. But it is in the right direction..that being forward..

Honestly, I see errors on both sides of the fence..that is why I refuse to acknowledge the fence...there is no spoon..
