I stopped using them over 20 years ago and you won't convince me to start using them again.

And what's all this ear response nonsense. Are you telling me that every time you listen to a piece of music you can compensate for a varying ear response (in relation to sound level / frequency responses / variations in recording levels)?

How do you know what it sounded like in the first place - ah! of course; you listen to it flat for reference.

Personally, I use my brain for this.

I can just imagine you spending 3 hours setting up the equipment to listen to a 30 minute recording - do you get time to listen to much music?

This is too much fun - we'll have to stop.
