Solid state devices are not tubes, and your testing idea is all wrong. No offense intended.Yes, tubes can be 'thumped' and an audible noise is apparent at the speaker. This is something completely different from how vibration will impact the performance of the entire circuit. And vibration does indeed impact the performance of any electronic circuit. To what degree might make for a good discussion, but there is no question that vibrating components behave differently than those that don't.
