"AR did come up with a system they claimed was indistinguishable from the live performance, using 16 channels with the speakers distributed in a volume of space around the listener"I reviewed Berkowitz's patent when I applied for my own. His contention was that after 100 milliseconds, there was no difference between reverberation in a concert hall and random noise. Needless to say, I was not impressed by that one. my own experimental system currently has six channels with 18 separate speaker systems.
