Rotary then horn then infinite baffle then open baffle then Low Q direct

Nothing else comes close if infrasonics extension is the goal. It gets louder and VERY efficient as it goes lower, dangerously so. Few people have the physical layout required

True horn sub is best overall with a multi driver Infinite Baffle not far behind. Few people have the physical layout required

The method to achieve a subsonic low Q is almost unimportant, but sealed technically is easier to achieve, but in reality needs multiples and aggressive transfer function to meet goals

Vast majority of people's listening rooms are well served by a large-ish format low excursion sealed alignment, but most offerings selected are small format high excursion sealed. Often not the low Q offering sought but offers high output. So then a low Q reflex will be a better trade off.
