RE: Why do so many audiophiles reject science?

Science is tied to the physics of how things work, Hearing is what we have learned to interpret over a life time of hearing events around us.

So powerful is that hearing process that we can take two inputs (our ear holes) and from that seamlessly create what our perception says is a 3d environment and since we have known nothing else, it is all we know as a frame of reference.

The home audio enthusiast, unless a DIY'r, usually has no connection to the engineering other than what they read in advertising, have no connection to it or what, when and where a measurement is useful.
Ironically, it has never been easier or simpler to take measurements, but like everything else, it's the interpretation that matters, regardless of the level of detail, unless you read the language, it might not tell you the important things.

We hear in 3D, we measure from a single point in space.
