Every time.
I seem to be cursed with excellent "audio memory" for lack of a better phrase. I can easily identify the audio differences, and the emotional consequence of those differences, between my decades of live listening experiences and my recorded playback listening.
I almost wish I could not. Because it always leaves me wishing I was back in Boston or at Tanglewood 30 years ago at a live performance.
And I do love to listen to my Reference 3A DeCapo I speakers. And I had an expert guest over recently, very experienced listener, and he immediately commented on how loveley the speakers sounded.
But not the same as live...
