If someone has to spend as much as you say to get sound they need in order to enjoy listening to vinyl records I agree with you.However I don't need to spend that much on a vinyl system to enjoy listening to vinyl.
I have no idea what "best sound" means nor do I have any interest in learning or being taught what it means.
For me it's about maximizing my listening experience. IME what I might qualify as "best sound" might not be the same thing as the sound I enjoy most - kind of depends on who I'm talking to. The systems I've heard capable of providing the most accurate or live sound are not the same systems I would chose for myself.
