Hi Tom
Hey that was fun and that goes back around 20 years i would guess. That's a pair of servodrive contrabass and Unity horn "cubes". I remember you (I think) you worked with Iron if i remember right.
I will never forget the fellow's small full range drivers on cardboard baffles and how good the image was. Those demonstrated how much the speakers radiation effected the depth of stereo image. No bass but fantastic single point source stereo image.
Well i never got into the home area at the new company, but we did find success in larger venues where the room problems are worse.
The larger relatives of those speakers are what you hear in large Emagine theaters and Synergy horns and Tapped horns made under license are what's in the latest generation of Imax sound systems.
They are what you hear at the large projection systems and elsewhere at the mouse house in Orlando and are in about half of the countries 100,000+ seat stadiums.
So the odds are fair that people have heard them even some music mixed on them but didn't know it.
Dang i wish i could remember that guy's name...Kurt maybe?
Thanks for the blast from the past picture,
Take care
Tom
