Just to throw another horse in the race, today I heard a full range 25 driver line source designed by Roger Russel that impressed me with its dynamics and sound stage and amount of ability to get inside a recording. besides the great sound, I saw some measurements and the distortion was so low it must have been like a good horn. Of course that many drivers means each driver hardly moves just like a good horn. And add the sense of oneness that a full range system with no crossover(which also eases the amp load) I am tempted.
