Horn loudspeakers that go into the bottom octave don't need to be large. They need to be huge. Plus it's best to keep them straight. So just as an example we're talking about over 10 feet long with a mouth say over 12 square feet(or more) And they tend to resonate. In the 60s the editor of Hi Fi News built a woofer(into his house going from one floor to the other) that was scaled like my example. It was made from concrete. And he still needed to reinforce it to minimize resonances.
