In a Class B amplifier each device is biased to cutoff. When driven by out of phase signal, the device that get a positive signal will conduct while the other stays in cutoff. Then the roles reverse. So the amplifier is really push-push. One device creates the first half of the wave form and the other device creating the other half of the wave form. The transformer doesn't make up anything.
