Hello guys! Newbie here :) I am hoping this would be the correct starting point under the General topics? I was curious as to anyone here that may have some good experience with pure Class "A" output tube amps? I've been having a pair of OddWatt Audio OddBlock amps now for around 14 years now. I have upgraded these mono-amps by changing the coupling caps, trying different power tubes and also the driver tubes. The unique feature with these amps are that you can use a rather wide range of tubes that one could use a switch built onto the pcb for say KT77 tubes and others in that voltage range/type, and also the same would apply for tubes such as the KT88 tubes with the same internal switch. I am currently using the Tung-Sol KT120's as the power tubes and have been switching back and forth with a couple of NOS tubes that are used for the driver tubes. I also broke down just recently and ordered some Duelund caps to see how they will sound compared to the Jupiter caps I have in the amps now. Feel free to comment on what you may find in your opinion to be the best sound using these types of mods. Thank you for any comments! Look forward to hearing what this environment has to say!
Cheers,
Jacques
