"DSD is just another 'flavor' of digital. To me most DSD is artificially smooth. Like the rocks and seashells from the ocean they're still rocks and seashells but the edges have been polished away so they're not quite like the originals. If my music is supposed to have some 'edge' to it I don't want it electronically polished away."

DSD trades inner detail for refinement. But this edge you are speaking of is largely an artifict of reproduction.
