Stacked Advents had a really great reputation. I am told that they threw a great soundstage like the original Quads but with bass like... two pairs of Advents. Never heard them set up this way. Perhaps I will get a 2nd pair one of these days & try it.Are the microacoustics and JanZen tweeters still out there? Are there others that would interface well?
Am confused about the hookups between the two receivers that you mention. You said they connected "the power amp from the other receiver to the amp in on the first unit". I am thinking that you meant to say that they hooked it up to the pre-amp out jacks. Am I right?
