I owned Polk back in those days, recently had discovered stereophile and was a long time Audio magazine reader. I replaced the Polks with Spica TC-60s within a year or two. Bought a house the Spica's magically lost their magic so I replaced them with PSB Stratus minis which were great. So instead of going to my long lusted over Vandersteen 2cs my dealer offer me a deal on a pair of PSB Stratus Golds for a mere $200 more. Suffered through those for 3 years before getting a pair of Spendor SP-100s and finally things got back into focus. Often wonder how different a road I might have followed if I had stuck with buying the Vandersteens.
What ever happened to Infinity? I remember them as a great speaker for someone who had a hard time picking up high frequencies.
