1997 discovered a guy in my neighborhood who sold vacuum tube amps some called SET. Bought a used 2A3 amp and got a bottlehead preamp. Cornwall speakers POS Philips SACD player too. Sold that gear never loved the Cornwalls. Mostly after that many vintage amps Wrightsound preamps. George and Brenda Wright were a few blocks south of us in Kent.Yesterday a used VAC Sigma 160i integrated amp arrived. Total game changer.
All my vintage gear is headed to Audiogon. Then I'll have some cash for music. In 1974 I owned a Pioneer SX1010 and Bose 901 speakers from a SE Asia PX not so sure I would call that high end.
