I am thinking mainly of 70's japanese stuff. Sansui, Pioneer, Luxman/Luxkit, Onkyo, Kenwood. Harmon/Kardon, Marantz, 80's Rotel and NAD gear, too. You can find this stuff very, very cheaply, and a lot of it sounds pretty good. Check out local electronics stores or ebay. There's a 30 watt Sansui AU217 on ebay currently for $30, I haven't heard this amp, but most Sansui stuff from this era is quite good.-Chris
