Merle- You might check out the Jolida hybrid integrateds. The 1701 at $419 or the 1301 at $350 are ultimate bargains. They feature passive tubed preamps and MOSFET solid state outputs. Worth double their price easily. Very musical and genersously warm for the price, powerful as all get out too.
