When I was in college I hung out at the local hi-fi shop ...a lot. The annual Washington's Birthday Sale ( a big deal in those days) was coming up and they needed someone to set-up turntables all day. They figured they would sell 50 to 75 tables. They asked me if I wanted the job and they would pay me! Woo Hoo !!! Getting paid real money to set up turntables all day. Count me in !
Another fond memory was meeting Sam Telig at his house and buying his B&W DM-7II speakers.
Fondest memory was a beer party at my folks house when in college. The folks were gone, it was pouring rain, we had tons of beer and I had a killer system (Yamaha C2a, McIntosh MC-2155, Thorens TD-126 with Signet XK-50 and Signet TK-7e, Yamaha T2, Nakamichi ZX7 and a pair of ADS L-1230). I put on "Riders on the Storm" and just as the lightning struck in the song lightning stuck in the back yard. It was one of those "you had to be there moments".
Dean.
