In 1970, walking into Hi-Fi-Fo-Fum in Milwaukee, where I later worked, and hearing the Angel/Melodiya LP of Rodion Shchedrin's Carmen Ballet Suite on KLH 9s. I still have that LP.
Hearing the Quad ESL57s for the first time at Harmony House in New York.
Setting up two pair of Klipsch LaScalas outdoors in something of a natural ampitheater, and listening to the Bjoerling/Beecham/DeLosAngeles Boheme on a lovely quiet summer evening.
"Stairway to Heaven" on Mac ML4s powered by an MC-2300, with the Dyna "dynaquad" gadget feeding a pair of ML2s for the rear, with their own MC-2300. Maybe it was the drugs (yes it was definitely the drugs) and it *was* fun.
