My school buddy was into it, and I was ass-poor, so I hitched a ride on his coat-tails. He sure had the 'gift' with regard to electronics and stereo stuff.
I think I was about 14 when I attempted my first DIY tube amp, from handmedown parts. This was back in 1971/2. Its been a long journey.
