I was 13 when I got my first stereo *hi-fi* after having listened to an old mono tube phono player to play my records for a couple of years before that. As for *high end*, it was 17 when I first heard a pair of Magneplanar T-IIIs tri-amped with Audio Research amplification.
Everything changed.
A year later, I met an Absolute Sound reviewer who (along with his long time friend and cohort) had a most profound effect on my musical and audio experience. It was then I discovered my love for full range electrostats. Wow, that was nearly 35 years ago!
