I as long as I can remember, I had a music playback device. I know I had a record player as young as 5. I had 3 way Laffy Radio speakers and Garrard TT and Laffy 15 watt receiver when in jr hi. Got an AKAI cassette recorder in hi school. Nobody I knew had separates in hi school. When I got to college I brought a pair of Advent speakers, Kenwood 75w int amp, DUAL TT and the Akai with me. One of my suite mates had Rogers cube monitor speakers, Pioneer reel to reel and Pioneer receiver. Instead of pin up girls on his dorm room wall, he had pictures of Phase Linear separates.
