My Dad started in the late 50's with little Bogen tube amp and a giant homemade loudspeaker with a coaxial driver. By the time I was maybe 8 or 10 years old Dad would let me play the system. It was kinda fun, the cat would climb in the speaker and go to sleep, you had to turn up the volume to about 12 o'clock before the cat would come shooting out the port opening! Anyway, I used that speaker until I bought my own stereo in 67, I've been upgrading that system ever since. Every piece of gear I have can be traced back to my first system from 1967, traded one piece at a time. It's kinda like that old hammer with 3 new handles and two new heads, it's that old.
Thanx, Russ
