Blo$e did an absolutely horrible job on the audio system in my late '04 Nissan Fairlady. The six-disc-changer head unit is convenient enough to operate, but it failed after two years of extremely light use (replaced under warranty, otherwise prohibitively overpriced). The rear speakers fire directly at the back of the seats - they're aimed precisely at the driver's 3rd thoracic vertebrae - and the thumpy one-note "sub" woofer is useless for anything other than vibrating the chassis and making female vocalists sound like Tom Waits with a headcold:

The front kick-panel speakers are presumably situated to titillate the passengers' ankles with "gorgeous Bose sound," while the door-mounted tweeters offer little more than a spitty edge and a bit of hiss:

Granted, the layout of the car presented the Blo$e "designers" with a small speaker placement challenge, but they failed miserably in both the placement, and the mechanical and sonic quality. I have a $70 CD boombox that sounds far better. I love everything else about the car, but I routinely listen to the engine rather than endure the lifeless quacky/boomy distortion inflicted on my music by the Blo$e-designed system.
