1975 system, when I was a college student:
Pioneer SA-8100 integrated amp
Sansui SR-212 belt drive turntable (similar to the classic Pioneer PL-12D turntable but the Sansui had an auto - arm return mechanism)
Cerwin - Vega Model 24 speakers (a 12" 3 way ported design with CV's dome - in - a - horn "dhorm" tweeter)
Koss Pro - 4AA headphones
speaker cables were whatever zip cord the dealer threw into the deal for free
My memory is hazy on the cartridge but it might have been a Shure M91ED or an Empire. I think the whole system cost a whopping $440 which was more than my tuition at the University of Virginia!
