I had a late edition pair of the 57s (serial 51XXX). When Quad was sold to the Verity group and announced that they would no longer provide parts for the 57, I panicked and sold my Quads. For the next 10 years I went through various speakers, all highly regarded, but was never able to achieve the musical bliss the Quads gave me. Fortunately, I now have another pair of the 57s and this pair will definitely never be sold.
