The US economy is stuffed, no question about it. And it is likely to get quite a lot worse. Absolutly agree with you on that
My point is that discretionary income is higher than it has ever been, and the cost of almost everything as a proportion of net income lower. Thus the perceived decline in audiophilia is a matter of competition for time and dollars, not the decline of same
