When playing new vinyl, I always remember hearing elements in the music, for the first time, that I never noticed on the FM radio..... Mostly background rhythms and dynamics..... I try it with CDs, even with good artists on decent recordings, but that effect simply isn't there.
Although I had an experience like this only two weeks ago..... Played my first Aleks Syntek vinyl..... "Mas Fuerte De Lo Que Pensaba"..... Score from eBay. And in spite of being familiar with the CD for almost ten years, it's like I heard the music for the very first time.
