Many excellent points, especially...

..."When I visit friends, I almost never walk into a house where music is playing." I had forgotten those days! And more likely than not, it would be an album from a group that was already generally known through radio play and the Top Forty.

Then sometimes it would be an album one hadn't heard yet except for a couple of hits. I remember many such instances: Allman Brothers' Brothers & Sisters, Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here -- Oh the memories come flooding!
