But that is what enthusiasts like myself would be interested in - not the broader public.

Any earlier magazine with pretensions of being technically solid would surely have scoffed at any layman who suggested cables which objectively measured the same could possibly sound different and cable break in, digital jitter and the like would also have been poo pooed.
