Re: Why tubes sound 'bigger'

Lets keep it simple-better equipment sounds better. As a former CJ and NAD dealer I think NAD, that I respect overall, makes a dead sounding preamp section. Conversely CJ makes nice(r) more expensive stuff. I have heard SS stuff that sounds better than tubes and vice versa. Generalizing about SS/tubes doesn't work for me. Also, there is plenty of PA research about the size of image and soundstage.
