Mr. Soundmind,When was the last time you auditioned state-of-the-art tube amplifiers? 30 years ago? Please tell us, when was the last time you went to an audio shop or audio show? Have you owned any amplifiers (solid-state or tube) made after, say, 1980? Which brand-names and models?
You will tell us that all tube gear is the same as 30 years ago, but most people here will disagree with you. If you really want to bash tube amplification convincingly, then you will have to do something that is out of your character. You will have to actually audition the gear, and base your opinions upon current listening experience. This is where you are probably at fault; I believe you have no experience whatsoever auditioning current top of the line tube amplification.
