in St. Louis Park (suburb of Minneapolis) has a pair of Western Electric theatre horns connected to a nondescript receiver and driven by a WWII (Nazi) German tape recorder.
There is not much missing from the sound of this demonstration. It puts the whole notion of progress in a different and less flattering perspective.
