Though you've drawn a logicial conclusion, it's not accurate in my system. I upgraded from the Golden Helix to the Double Helix for my Sound Dynamics RTS-2s (powered by a vintage EICO) last Xmas.I hadn't really expected to hear a big difference from the comparison listening through little, 2-way speakers. Happily, I was quite wrong. I'm still floored by how much bass those little suckers can muster (both the cables and the RTS-2s) AND how much I wasn't hearing until I swapped in the Double Helix.
