The big mutha double mono in particular was a classic piece of 50s scifi retro, but even the basic 25W integrated was a shining chrome object of desire. Most folks liked to show it without any clothes on (nude tubes!).They were also fast, accurate and involving. I say were, cos I don't know what the new stuff is like. I left the UK a few years ago.
