I'm not trolling, just curious as to the groups' varied thoughts on this subject. In your opinion does an audio system have to be ugly to sound good? Also a related question any opinions on what constitutes an esthetically pleasing design. I know that what defines beauty is totally subjective and debatable but there can be some generalities, after all most might say that the Ferrari Berlinetta Lusso is a beautiful automobile and the Edsel or the Yugo are not. Personally, I think the Oracle Delphi turntable was a great looking design. Anyone care to state other components (source, amplification, speaker system) they think are an outstanding design? Sound quality aside, what would you assemble as the ultimate system if you could pick from any of the audio components ever made? Thoughts, anyone?
PS. I respect everyone's individual opinion (even if you think the Edsel was the pinnacle of automotive design); I do not wish to start any arguments here and I hope we can keep this a cordial and light-hearted topic. Thank you for your consideration. Respectfully, cfb
