I purchased an Eico 2050 this morning at a garage sale for 10 dollars CDN. The amplifier works but has a dead 7591 output tube. Searching the archives indicates there are perhaps fewer choices available than for other power tubes.
Should I buy a matched pair of tubes such as the 7591A from Electro Harmonics. Are there other choices, or is this amplifier not good enough to bother with. Thanks for any advice.
