Okay Budget Amps.

Funny you should mention it. For a long time I used a modded Marantz PM-66 with External Battery Supply. I had a chance to compare that against an older Krell KAS-50....
The KAS-50 was easily matched in the bass and OUTCLASSED by a HUGE margin on treble-extension, soundstaging and naturalness. It also lacked this agressivness I have heard from every piece of Krell Electronics I had the misfortune to makeaquaintance with.

Belles.... (www.powermodules.com) never heard them.

DNM is a really wacko UK/Swiss Brand. Their better Amplifiers only do 25W / Channel. No official Web-Site and nothing in English.
Jeff Rowland is at:
www.jeffrowland.com
However, as said, Krell Amplifiers sound the way they do for a reason. Both the "positive" and the "negative" sides. And I really dislike Krell Sound.
