Reversing speaker polarity should work, unless you're into absolute phase. I don't think turning it around will work, because the radiation pattern of very low frequencies from a conventional box woofer is not bipolar but more omnidirectional. So I guess you should reverse sepaker polarity, then make a compensating reversal earlier in the chain of reproduction if this is needed to produce correct absolute phase at the end.I'm just an amateur though. Brian Cheyney among others would know.
