...is a little water and some Dawn dish detergent. If that doesn't work, there are a lot of kits for CD "repair." The one I bought from radio shack had what appears to be turtle wax in it. If you were to tell me that a mildly abraisive wax could round the sharp edges of scratches in the plastic coating and fill in the cracks so that a cd player "might" be able to read through the scratch, I'd buy it. That is all these kits promise. As for magnetism somehow improving the performance, I'm not buying it anymore than I buy that the Fermi Velocity of electrons is affected by speaker wire and somehow improves the performance of a sound system.
