I agree with your observations. Unfortunately, the average Joe doesn't know much about any consumer product be it stereo, computers, cars, whatever. This is why we have quality products like Bose, Windows, Ford, Chevy, etc. They are lowest common denominator type products, which is what the average Joe wants. None of them is show any type of excellence, except for marketing, and really aren't significantly different than competitors products. The average Joe wants nothing too radical, pretty much like what everyone else has, etc. For a country the talks about diversity, it rarely happens. Everyone wants to be the same thing, rich, and have the same stuff, crap! Go figure.On the up side. This does demonstrate how effectively the marketing folks do their job!
