With this same group of audiophiles, I have done other "eyes-closed" tests in which, among 3-4 trials, I have not implemented the tweak in order to see if people were just imagining things (those were not tests where the tweak could be applied "on the fly"...ie. music had to be stopped and restarted. And in two of those tests, there was one guy who said "I hear it, it's so much better now!" when in fact, I had not changed a thing.) So with that as a background, this group of audiophiles knew that I have a history of possibly not adding the tweak even tho I have said I would.
(also fwiw, that individual who said "so much better now" was not present for the test I described in my first post).
